Back again Kade, Your blurb mentions Lord of the Rings. I read it from the local Library in a three parter book. Did you? or did you read them as saparate biooks. I mention this because at the end of the book there was a whole series of 'extras' that Tolkien had written some about the drawves, another aboutthe elves, and one in particular about the four hobbits and their lives AFTER the riung cycle. Yes, I woulkd agree with you that Chaul seems to be different from others, but he was only disgusted that he would be 'used' by the headman in that way. he had only recenlty lost his wife, so he did not want lie with somone olse so soon and betray nher.
