Eine Mutter erzählt ihren Kindern die Geschichte ihres Lebens, in diesem Leben erfährt sie dass sie eine Chik ist, Chik ist die Abkürzung von Chiksi und ist ein mächtiges und magisches Wesen. Sie ist die einzige ihrer Art. Chiks sind in der Lage anderen Wesen jeder Art erstarren zu lassen nur durch bloßes ansehen und jeder der nicht reinem Herzens ist bekommt starke schmerzen wenn sie, sie anfässt. Sie erfährt von einem Jungen ihres lters, dass sie eine Chik ist, und es stellt sich raus, dass er auch ein Chik ist, aber nicht so wie Zoe seid geburt sondern erst seit dem ersten Kuss. Dies würde nur passieren wenn ineinander verliebten,und direkt nach dem ersten Kuss verwandelt er sich in einen Chiko abkürzung für Chikso und gleichzeitig die männliche Variante zu Chik (Chiksi) die weibliche Form. Chiks vergessen nie etwas, deswegen kann Zoe ihren Kindern wirklich jede kleinste Fasette der Geschichte erzählen. Ab dem 18 Geburtstag wachsen Chiks nicht weiter und werden auch nicht älter. Chik sein ist vererblich es gab nur eine Ausnahme und zwar Zoe sie war ja auch die erste ihrer Art.
