The renowned prophet Nostradamus (Michel de Nostradame) was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. Nostradamus came from a long line of Jewish doctors and scholars. His family had converted from Judaism to Christianity in 1502, as a result of persecution on the ascension of Louis the XII. After a classical education he studied medicine, herbalism and astrology. During Nostradamus' lifetime the Black Death (today known as the bubonic plague) wiped out over a quarter of Europe. It is no wonder that a sense of apocalyptic terror fills Nostradamus' quatrains. Nostradamus had the visions which he later recorded in verse while staring into water or flame late at night, sometimes aided by herbal stimulants, while sitting on a brass tripod. The resulting quatrains (four line verses) are oblique and elliptical, and use puns, anagrams and allegorical imagery. Most of the quatrains are open to multiple interpretations, and some make no sense whatsoever. Some of them are chilling, literal descriptions of events, giving specific or near-specific names, geographic locations, astrological configurations, and sometimes actual dates. It is this quality of both vagueness and specificity which allows each new generation to reinterpret Nostradamus. Nostradamus is said to have predicted his own death. When his assistant wished him goodnight on July 1, 1566, Nostradamus reputedly pronounced, "You will not find me alive at sunrise." He was found dead on July 2, 1566. [more]

PROPHETS AND PROPHECIES IS VERY NICE BOOK The zeal in GOD and the love towards his word made me to meditate more on The Word of God, the more I meditate the love towards God has increased. The Word of God is so sweet that you like to read it more, it gives you strength that you will not fear, it gives you courage that you will not be discouraged; it gives so much knowledge and understanding that you need not read any Encyclopaedia. The more I read and understand The Word of God the more I like to teach his love to others and that made me to write the book on Prophets and Prophecies. The aim of writing this book is not that I have more knowledge but what the Holy Spirit has made me to understand the Word made me to write this book. This is about the Prophets, what they prophesised, in which cities, in which kingdom and during which the kings. Through out the Bible Prophets were their and prophesised many times but all the prophets did not write the prophetic books. Only those prophets who were told by the Holy Spirit inspiration wrote the books. It is important to interlink and read the Prophetic books along with the books of I Kings and II Kings because Prophets were their during the kings time and prophesised to them, warned them that if they do not obey and worship the living God, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon will come destroy the temple in Jerusalem and take them as captive, they also prophesised about our saviour LORD Jesus Christ his birth, death, resurrection, end times and the II Coming of Jesus Christ.
