Ehrfürchtig staunend standen wir vor dem mächtigen Komplex der Kirche Santa Marie del Pi und ließen uns das cerveza am Placa Reial schmecken! Der Bus parkte in der Nähe des ehemaligen Expo – Geländes und wir sahen direkt die ersten Sehenswürdigkeiten: die futuristische Brücke Vista de Puentede la Barqueta, der künstlich angelegte See auf der Kartäuser Insel, der die Temperaturen senken sollte und natürlich den Pabellones de Alemannia. Ist das etwas so Besonderes? Na, und ob. Ein spektakuläreres Erlebnis ist kaum vorstellbar. Wie das? Weil dann alle Städte und Dörfer Spaniens, speziell Andalusiens, unter dem Bann der österlichen Prozessionen stehen. Prozessionen? Ist das nicht eine furchtbar langweilige Angelegenheit? Oh, im Gegenteil. Diese Prozessionen lassen niemanden kalt, nicht die Fremden, die extra ihretwegen anreisen, und nicht die Einheimischen, die sie entweder lieben – oder hassen.
