Perhaps someone can help me. I've tried looking on the internet without any success. There is a book that I remember from my childhood that I thing was a collection of short stories by Ray Bradbury but I really can't remember and my search, as mentioned has been fruitless. The story that I'm specifically looking for I think was called "Spider in my Closet" or something similar. Does anyone remember this short story or know... Show more

As I watch comments on Yahoo and see the related articles, I'm ever more confused as to why so many people are so offended about things that I simply can't perceive as detrimental to anything but their pride or their religion. If something doesn't actually affect you in any real way, should you make it your cause or does it fall under the Sgt. Schultz mentality? I vote for the latter but I'd love to hear what others think and why.

Reading about the myth of Medusa is sad indeed but as I overthink the lore way too much, what I find myself most empathizing with are the snakes she has as hair. At least most snakes have room to move but these are rather securely rooted in place and that kind of immobility in conjunction with the close quarters with so many others can not be at all comfortable.

Don't worry. Where there is will, there is everything. Your burning zeal makes you suitable for everything you aspire. Mind a magician and faith is the strength when obstacles fall down withered leaves.

Very poetic. Alas, there are ever far too many obstacles and treacherously slippery leaves to be encountered. I sometimes wonder if life itself isn't just one of the obstacles which we must face in our journey or adventure or whatever this path we are on may happen to be.

I know everything that we face is a test and no intuition makes us ready for this. No conscious reasoning is needed. Don't see obstacles as hindrances. Just be an obstacle for obstacles, hoe? you have intelligence enough and knowledge. Life is just a frame and you make it filled... Show more

There once was a time when I would have balked at society for the shear magnitude of folly that seems to be ever growing. I suppose the wisdom of age accounts for those that keep enough of an open mind to eventually understand. It is terribly difficult to sustain a good righteous mad when you understand multiple sides of the issues in question.

Hooray! My first book sale is showing on my charts. Yip yip yip. Ok, so one is a lonely number but the review is pretty awesome so it seems that someone liked it (and no that someone honestly wasn't me) and that is indeed a plus. Anyway, thus ends this mini celebration. We will now return to our regularly scheduled silly/interesting (depending on your point of view) posts that are mostly just the strange things that run... Show more

I read another fun prospect that is extremely creepy in a way. If the transporter takes a blue print of your body and memories before breaking you into the basic human components of hydrogen and oxygen etc, then what is assembled at the other must be different atoms of hydrogen and oxygen etc which means that you have effectively just been murdered and cloned and you have probably volunteered for this.
