Meine allererste Kurzgeschichte und gleichzeitig die erste mit der ich ein Preisgeld gewonnen habe. Die Frankfurter Buchmesse hat 2010 einen Wettbewerb ins Leben gerufen, in dem Medien-übergreifende Geschichten erzählt werden sollten (crossmedia story telling). Über eine Webseite konnten sowohl Konzept als auch Geschichte bewertet werden. Lange auf Platz 1 erhiehlt ich im letzten Ergebnis den 4. Platz. Mein Konzept handelt von einem Blogger, der sowohl echte als auch fiktive Beiträge thematisiert. Er tritt auf Plattformen wie facebook, twitter und co. auf. Der Dialog in dieser Kurzgeschichte stellt das Finale der Handlung dar und zeigt, dass hinter dem Blog weitaus mehr steckt. Das 21. Jahrhundert hatte sich schon oft verändert. Jeden Tag tauchten neue Trends und dämliche Videos im Internet auf. Und wieso? Weil die Anfrage mit jeder Sekunde wächst. Über Tausend Facebook-Freunde. Mindestens genauso viele Follower bei Twitter und Instagram und von Snapchat will ich erst gar nicht anfangen. Ganz ehrlich: Ich hasse die Entwicklung. Wie oft habe ich schon versucht mich ganz normal mit anderen zu verabreden, doch egal ob man einen netten Filmabend macht oder schick essen geht, alle sind nur noch am Handy. Schnell ein Foto vom Essen machen und sofort posten. In was für einer Welt leben wir eigentlich? Das ganze vierundzwanzig Stunden am Tag online und erreichbar sein ist ein wahrer zwang geworden. Jeder weiß wo du wann mit wem bist. Aber sich dann beschweren, wenn irgendwer einen ausspioniert. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, wie einfach es heut zu Tage ist, in einer Spionage Abteilung zu arbeiten. Die digitale Revolution und ich mit meinen 22 Jahren hasse sie vermutlich mehr als sonst irgendwer. Alles ist nur noch digital und wer sich nicht anpasst wird ausgeschlossen. Natürlich hat alles eine Kehrseite. So hat auch mein größter Hass positive Seiten. Man kommt schnell an Informationen ran und kann problemlos mit Leuten, die weiter weg wohnen, in Kontakt bleiben. Was das mit meinem Leben zu tun hat? Eigentlich nicht besonders viel. Außer das ich in einer Medienbranche arbeite und für die Social Media Abteilung zuständig bin. Und was wir Verkaufen ist ganz einfach: Klatsch und Tratsch. In der Redaktion dreht sich alles um gute Storys, die die Leser interessieren. Leider wollen die meisten nur noch irgendwas über Promis, Sport und Sex wissen. Doch das änderte sich alles, als eine unbekannte Spezies auftauchte.
