Почему мы обвиняем Бога?

Это невозможно забыть. Нью-Йорк, 11 сентября 2001 года: взрывы, горящие, разрушенные небоскребы и смерть тысяч людей. Не знаю, довелось ли вам читать приведенное ниже сообщение из США.
Мы верим, что Бог потрясен происшедшим так же, как и мы. Но я бы хотел обратить ваше внимание на следующее: многие годы мы говорили Богу, чтобы Он ушел из наших школ, правительства и жизни вообще. И Бог, как истинный джентльмен, тихо удалился. Как мы можем ожидать от Него, что Он нас благословит и защитит, если мы Его попросили оставить нас в покое?...

A literary op-ed ending in an impassioned plea- that is oddly hopeful- but
masks a simple, unfortunate truth, namely: Each generation seems bent on
repeating the mistakes of the last.

But death can be a reprieve to the old and the inevitability of change offers
some measure of hope. And maybe each generation steps forward in one area-
while taking a step back or two in another.
