For sharing this life event. Even though you haven't revealed the whole story yet I can still see the pain that you were going through, just a little bit.

If you do ever get to the point where you write it all out, you will then know that you are past another obstacle. Just keep strong. :)

I agree you do not need to have to put up with his affairs, you are your own lady. I am glad you found some happiness. As long as you and the children are happy, I am sure it will work out.
They already seem to have taken your new friend to heart, that is a biggie for him. If their dad is trying to buy affection, he has already lost them.

Well written story...sad yes, but with a happy ending. My daughter went through something very similar to this. Oh the drama. Now she remarried to a wonderful man and she after having two great kids from her first marriage, is due in a few short weeks with her third.

Sounds emotionally painful. I connected to the writing and the memory written was heartfelt. I'm sure it is hard to write about these feelings and remember them. But you did. I enjoyed the writing but not what you had to go though. There's lot to love that is a rollercoaster. I do want you to know though that there are alot of decent men out there. Looks like you've met one.

Love is a great catalyst for good writing unfortuntly so is hurt and unhappiness, but you seem to be over the extreme turbulence in your life and going forward to happiness.

I wish you happiness for your future and thanks for sharing the piece.
