Today was Jacob's 100th birthday. He and his wife, Lilah, lived in Brookdale, an assisted living facility. Although his horoscope predicted it was to be a very eventful day, he had nothing scheduled except for a small birthday party after dinner.
As the years passed Jacob had become more and more obsessed with the ravages of Time and the many unanswerable questions it caused. As he sat in Brookdale's courtyard enjoying the afternoon sun he had an unexpected visitor, as well as a few unexpected answers.
