I truly enjoyed your story, not so far from the truth within all of us the winter of the mind comes quickly with each passing day a memory

I enjoyed your story, so close but not so far away from the truth, only to rush through life, to become a child again

Thanks, cub1599p, I am delighted you took the time to write. I have been away from my site for months, and it is such a letter as yours that pulls me back. Thanks, again for your interest. Elizabeth

I liked this story. It is unusual to see poverty and old age being treated inthis way in a contemporary American short story.

Thanks, Blondel, for your time and comments. I appreciate every reader because this world is filled with written words in every nook and cranny, and the mere fact that you chose one of my stories to read is awesome indeed! Wa do (thank you in Cherokee, Elizabeth =;-)

This short story will stick in my mind. It's sad but so true and makes you think that this character could be anyone. No one is ammune to what can happen to us as we age.

Thanks again, Denise. I am honored you wanted to read another one of my stories. I hope to stay connected now after a lengthy health ordeal. If you are a writer, I will definitely read your works. Please let me know. Thanks again. Elizabeth

I could have easily kept reading if only the words continued...Maybe something you want to expand on? Great job-thanks!!

Very well done. Once there, I guess you forget how frightened you were of ever getting there.
