Thanks for the kind words. The idea for this story was sparked by a college philosophy professor many years ago who was complaining about how childish and selfish his colleague could be on any given day so some of the material is autobiographical.

The informnation about the philosopher, Wittgenstein, I got from a course that I took in college. Wittgenstein was a fascinating character and one of the greatest thinkers in liguistic theory. The material that dealt with the circus I got from research on the internet. In the past I used to visit the library, but the computer serves the same purpose.
