Patience. I have noted that advice, thank you. When I edit Meagan Brewer, I'll keep that in mind. It will probably help with the predictability. Patience is key!

I love all those authors as well. Charlotte Bronte is by far my favorite! Dickens... what a flipping talent. I could go on and on. I always have a classic around, it is essential to my writing. When I read Jane Austen or Emily Bronte, I end up phrasing my writing after them. It's interesting how easily those we read influence our writing. You can usually tell if someone reads a lot or reads great authors, it comes through their writing.

Although, Meagan Brewer was a bit of a risky step for me. It was not influenced by any classic, it was influenced more by James Patterson and Sophie Kinsella. Meagan is the most immature character I have written, but it was fun to play around with the inter-workings of a 20 something woman and giving her a harsh/quirky view of men. It was mainly for fun and I'm glad that the fun translated so well. Thank you for letting me know that.

One more thing, I appreciate your use of texture with your characters, the layers of their personalities and how well they tie into each other in this book. The more I think about your book and reread it, the more I see. I keep getting the feeling there is more going on, as if I can feel the characters thinking. It is safe to say that I will have to review your book. It is stuck to my brain. Don't tell anyone yet, I want it to be a surprise. I owe my group some reviews. Shame on me! LOl

I loved the second half! The relationship between this couple, people with different belief systems, and the high chance that it could cause family discourse for Tracy is written with such wit and realness. I wanted to read more and hated that it was so short.

Discussing the Elliot novel was genius, I enjoy when authors tie-in classics or other books into their writing. It opens up great books for readers. It becomes a little personal review inside the book, which in most cases makes me add the novel to my reading list. I loved how you smoothly invited the reader with the conversation about how it could be a possible result for them, being happily married and that the parents accept them.

Tracy in the second half became more honest (if that makes sense) for me, she was really torn for a bit. Seeing her perspective about her parents, how she feels for Calvin, and her own feelings. I liked her overall.

I really enjoy your writing, I would like to read more. Keep me in the loop with additions or more books.

Thank you for reading my book and your below comment. I do try to write like the people I read, it's a process. I'm still new to writing. Coming from you, being that I know your are a fantastic writer, it is pleasing to read that I have a "appealing literary persona". I know the story is predictable and some parts are redundant. I plan on revising the story with further editing. I have some spelling and grammar I need to correct, but I am not a pro editor and I find I get lost reading my own story. LOL That's probably bad. Oh well!

I will finish this, I am half way through and I love it! You clearly write very well! Whew... I tried twenty books before I found yours. I was getting antsy! You hooked me from the first paragraph. I crave that kind of beginning when I start a book. You hit the mark. The title was a little bit of a deterrent, but also intriguing. I think it's a keeper! LOL

I really like how your characters have distinct personalities and I can even feel that they have a real history. Your characters have depth and you have given it in such a short time. As I said I am half through, and I feel like they are real.

I'm a fan!
