Just read A Christmas Eve Love. I liked it :)

I liked your story. But for me it sounded too general.What was the girl like?Was she smart or ugly?If you wanted to convey this bizzar sensation of loneliness details are lacking...She could have overheard the faint sound of aunty's words "With such slow progress at school she has slim chances of getting the desired occupation"...This would have contributed to the overall gloom. Besides the tears at the start and at the end are not the same.
